PATO PATO

Pato Pato was born from one big dream:

raising bicultural kids who can read and think in Spanish.

As a Latina mom raising two boys in the United States, I realized that what I wanted to pass down wasn't just Spanish. It was everything hidden inside it.

Because when a heritage language disappears, our kids don't just lose words.

They lose inside jokes with grandparents, family stories, they lose ways of showing respect, affection, and belonging that don't always translate. They lose fully getting to know us and intimately belonging to their culture.

When I went looking for tools to help me pass those things on, I found flashcards, screens, and translations that treated Spanish like an extracurricular activity instead of a living legacy. So I built what I couldn't find.

Pato Pato creates playful, hands-on tools that help families raise children who want to live in our language. From early literacy and phonics to reading, comprehension, and cultural connection, everything we make is designed to support deep, meaningful language acquisition through play.

We exist to champion the parent who is doing the hard, often invisible work of preserving a language, a culture, and a connection across generations. Because every time you choose Spanish, you're giving your child more than another language.

You're giving them access to family, to identity, to belonging. You're giving them the ability to move confidently between cultures without having to leave part of themselves behind.

We're not just passing down Spanish. We're passing down everything it carries. Language, cultura y todo.
